"Right there in Atlanta traffic the dating game was changed forever."

It’s Spring Break 2017!!! CAN I PLEASE GET A HECK YEAH?!?!
No, seriously. I have been waiting for Spring Break for literally months, and I am so happy that it is finally here. Technically, it isn’t even REAL Spring Break yet, I’m only on the weekend.
Speaking of weekend — let me just spill for a second and tell you about my weekend so far. It’s been so so so great. I’ve seen my friends almost every day, spent time with my family, and ate a lot of really, really, really, good ice cream… I don’t know, maybe it just was the people accompanying me
Saturday was really great, and that is what this blog post is about. Since I live in little ol’ Bethlehem, I never usually make it to the Big City (and by big I mean Atlanta haha)… BUT this weekend I did. A sweet gal pal of mine, Ally (ALittleLightBlog) and I loaded up the car with tunes + my camera and hit the road in search for the perfect adventure…
AND BOY OH BOY. WE SURE DID FIND IT.
PONCE. CITY. MARKET.
This blog post is gonna be quite interesting. I’m going to write words ABOUT words. What? hahaha.
Maybe you read my last blog post, maybe you didn’t — but this past weekend my pal, Ally, and I went to Atlanta. We stumbled upon this cute, lil shop that had quotes hanging all over the walls. I was going to include this store in my last blog post, but something told me not to.
So here I am, giving these quotes their glory.
If you could use some type of super-human power and see me through this computer screen, you would see the biggest smile across my face. Maybe you saw it on twitter, maybe you didn’t,,, but I just spent the last 4 hours with a bunch of fourth graders and a whole lot of nail polish… AND IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST NIGHTS OF MY LIFE.
As some of you may already know, or recently informed by the insane amount of tweets I sent out today, Ed Sheeran released his new album DIVIDE today.
I am going to be honest real quick, Ed Sheeran was one of those artist that I really enjoyed the sound of his voice, but his music style just WASN’T MY FAV. Don’t get me wrong, some of his songs ARE REALLY REALLY GOOD. He just wasn’t my cup of tea (haha get it bc he’s English)
BUT THEN THIS ALBUM CAME OUT — AND NOW ME AND OL’ ED HAVE A MUSICAL CONNECTION LIKE NEVER BEFORE.
This leads me to this blog post. I am going to list out my favorite songs from his new album as well as my favorite lyric in that specific song!!! Hopefully this blog post will give you THAT PUSH to go listen to (in my opinion) the best album that has been released this year.
BRITTANY MERRILL’S FAVORITE SONGS FROM THE DIVIDE ALBUM:
Recently on social media, I have participated in many ‘TBH’ things (idk what to call them) from many different types of people, and each time I get the same up-lifting and lovely message.
Almost all of them call me “positive” and “encouraging” and honestly I couldn’t be more thankful for all of the messages. One gal even asked me HOW I’m so positive and so I decided to write a blog post about it.
For many years, the word ‘messy’ has always been a word in my vocabulary. Messy hair, messy heart, messy words, messy school supplies, and especially, messy room. No part of my life has ever been “perfect and put together.” — and because of that I spent a few months held back in chains because I felt like I had to be perfect.
For months and months I have been toying with the idea to start a blog of my own. If you know me personally, you know that the bookshelves in my room are always, and forever will be, filled with an overflowing stack of colorful notebooks and journals. Basically, I just love to write — and so it only seemed natural for me to start a blog.
And with that in mind, I just want to thank you. Thank you for visiting my blog, and thank you for reading my words. Considering that you are EVEN reading a blog makes me imagine that we would be best friends. You rock.
I hope that this blog is everything you expect it to be and more. I strongly believe that God will use these words to further His kingdom — and I believe with my WHOLE heart that every blog post will be used to glorify Him. And that, my friends, is not something ordinary. Every word spoken to me by God will never ever be ordinary. I hope you believe that as well in your own relationship with Him.
I don’t know the plans I have for this blog. Honestly, I have nothing figured out. Yesterday I watched a YouTube video from one of my favorite bloggers, and she planned out each her blog post to a certain time each week. We are friends now, so I’m going to be honest with you and say that I will probably never do that — and I’m perfectly okay with it. I have learned that He shines more when I let go of control.
There really wasn’t a purpose of this first blog post except for a simple hello.
So hi, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. If you would like to contact me so we can be BFF’s, totally shoot me a message in the ‘Contact’ tab. I’d love to hear from you!
’till next time pal ♥︎
